West Mountain Lodging

Located in Queensbury, New York in the Adirondack Mountains, West Mountain features a wide mix of skiing, from gentle green cruisers to expert glades. West Mountain attracts skiers from nearby Glens Falls as well as from Vermont and Canada. That many visitors need someplace to rest their heads and store their stuff after a long day on the slopes. Thankfully, there are many options when it comes to West Mountain lodging.

There are plenty of hotels located in Queensbury and Lake George along I-87 for West Mountain lodging. Less expensive choices include the Rodeway Inn, the Econo Lodge, and the Super 8. These hotels have the typical 2-star hotel rooms, with options for two queen beds or a single king. They also offer free breakfast as well as free Wi-Fi for guests.  Mid-range chains in the area include Travelodge, Days Inn, Motel 6, and the Red Roof Inn. For a more upscale room, the Georgian Lakeside Resort rests on the edge of Lake George with spectacular views.

The Georgian Lakeside features demi suites that have a living room area and a private outdoor sitting area for après ski get-togethers. Other rooms have access to a heated outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi. For slightly larger parties, the Georgian has penthouse and honeymoon suites with queen sized pullout beds in the living area.

Other West Mountain lodging options to consider include some great bed and breakfasts in the area. One of the local favorites is Country House. There are five guest rooms, each with a king bed, luxuriously furnished with premium linens. Each room has its own bath and dogs are welcome to stay. Each room also has a mini fridge, and of course, comes with a full American breakfast each morning. Alternately, the Lake George Bed and Breakfast is located just a block and a half from the lake and offers eight rooms, some with a private entry. Breakfast at Lake George features daily sweet and savory options as well as locally sourced meats.
